Sheri and I are pretty sure that for Christmas we are going to buy ourselves a camcorder. We also need to buy a new bed, a new recliner for the family room, and a new PC, but those seemed more like obligation purchases and not fun gifts.

One thing we talked about doing was just keeping the camcorder laying around and easy to pick up. When something half-way interesting happens, like frying the Thanksgiving turkey for the first time, take a minute of film, and then set it back down. Then, when we get 30 - 45 minutes of content, mail copies off to our families to keep them current on what we are doing.
