They reported the first death in Chicago from the flu this evening. It was a 2-year-old preschool student in a very affluent suburb called Winnetka that is about 30 miles north-east of us.

People are panicking to get the flu vaccine now, but because of the vaccine shortage they won't give it to anyone unless they are under 5 or over 50. People in between 5 and 50 are given the option of the new nasal flu vaccine, but it costs between $45 and $60 per dose!
