I found out the prices that I quoted in my post on Thursday about battery powered emergency sump pumps do NOT include the battery. That is an extra $100 for a specially formulated lead acid battery.

I think I will eventually go with the middle model for $230 ($330 with battery) but install it myself. PVC pipe is pretty easy to work with.
