We bottled our first solo batch of beer 6 days ago and I couldn't wait a full week before trying a bottle. It turned out really good! I think it is on par with the batch we did with supervision at the beer class. It has less carbonation than the supervised batch because of pitching the yeast improperly, but it still gave me a little beer burp. I can't wait to see how it tastes after another week or two.
