I am doing some freelance GIS work. One of the things I have been asked to do is get aerial photos for all the places that the Illinois Tollway goes through. This is the finished result:

This is obviously just a low-resolution image of all of the 88 aerial photos. The aerial images are in 1 meter resolution. (The smallest object you that will show up is 1 meter in size.) The aerial images alone are about 250 megabytes. I downloaded the images from the Illinois Natural Resources Geospatial Data Clearinghouse and it took me about 1.5 hours. These images will eventually be on their website. You will be able to zoom in on the images and see individual cars.
