I have been meaning to do this for a while. The fertilizer bag says it covers 5,000 square feet of grass. Well how many square feet of grass do I have? Now that I am a GIS professional I figured it out using an aerial orthographic photo.
The answer is 6,045 square feet. The green area in the image is obviously our grass, and the black part of the image is house, patio, sidewalk, and driveway.
