The white lining inside our cans is a food grade enamel that is safe for use in cans. We use it to preserve the product shelf life and to keep the product from tasting "tinny". It should not flake easily, although poses no health hazard if it does. We will look into this situation and check our supply of cans for this type of damage. We appreciate you reporting this to us.
