It's really interesting to see what ads appear in response to what I write about. Yesterday it was mostly weather radios. Today they are about throat cancer, sore throats, and sinus problems.

I wonder how they do that. Does my page get scanned as a request to display an ad is made, or is my page scanned periodically throughout the day, analyzed for content, and then when a request to display an ad is made the Google servers already know what the most recent topics are and sends the appropriate ads? Just amazing.

I have found myself already interested in a couple of the ads because they are in response to what I write about and therefore what is currently interesting to me.
